Matt and Jessica
Our Story
Our Story (Matt's point of view) - Jessica and I lived in the same apartment complex and ward last year 2009 to 2010. The first time I remember seeing Jessica, she was walking on the street that went from BYU campus to our apartments. My best friend Christopher was on his bike pulling me around on my long board. I recognized this beautiful girl from our ward and said the first thing that came to my mind "Hey...you're in our ward!" Wow, real brilliant thing to say Matt. She said "yeah..." and kept on walking.
At church the next day, Christopher and I just happened to sit right behind her (wink) and one of her friends. We started up a conversation and I asked her name, so I wouldn't have to say a dumb thing like "hey you're a girl in our ward" next time I see her. Her name was Jessica.
During that time I was into origami (it helped me stay focused in church) and I made a paper crane for Jessica and her friend. A little while later, after an origami penguin and origami rose, and after a few movie nights, date nights and some late night herbal tea parties, I asked Jessica to be my girlfriend! The date was January 23, 2010 and now we are engaged to be married exactly one year and three months later on April 23, 2011!
It's been a great time, the best time and we are so excited for the time ahead of us.
